If you were taken aback by Pantone’s announcement that Classic Blue was 2020’s Color of the Year, you weren’t alone! Via SFGate. Blue walls are soothing when done right, but can look overbearing if applied with a heavy hand. Don’t apply the color on every wall, and be sure to add contrasting elements like fresh greenery, wood furniture, and white accent pieces.
Via Devon Furniture Makers. The designers chose a dramatic shade of blue for these Shaker-style cabinets. The end result is both elegant and warm.

Via Morgan Harrison Home. The over-the-bed shelving system makes the most of a cozy space. As the only fixture painted blue, the shelves stand out as a showcase for meaningful possessions.
Via Sarah Barnard Design. The blue patterned wallpaper creates a fun and inviting environment for this boy’s bedroom. The designer smartly reflects the geometric theme throughout the room with the furniture and rug.
Blue vanities are becoming more and more popular as designers and homeowners opt for bathrooms that are as striking and stylish as the rest of the property. For a vanity that stands out, we recommend a unique piece like our Charlotte 72” Double Sink Farmhouse in Royal Blue.
Via Ambunti Warehouse. Using blue furniture and wall art throughout the home allows you to take advantage of this hue without a long-term commitment. Blue is the dominant color in the living room shown above - no painting required!
Via Carrothers and Associates. As far as I’m concerned, this photo is proof that we need more houses with blue exteriors. The navy color adds to the warmth and curb appeal of this Craftsman-style home.
